I came across the Kindness Rocks Project a few weeks ago, and haven't been able to get it out of my mind since. Painting rocks in bright colors and uplifting messages, leaving them for others to find around town, or even just piling them in a large bowl on the dining room table for anyone to see and use seems to me to be the perfect Tisha B'av project, at least for my house.
A quick trip by Josh to Home Depot yielded a (heavy) bag of rocks. A stroll through Amazon netted me a primed box of paint pens and a quick trip through my art supply stash gave us the acrylic paint and spray-sealer that we needed.
I'm excited to see what designs they come up.
Until tomorrow :)
Tzom kal, y'all.
